On Friday, September 21, hierarchs, clergy and faithful from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and other jurisdictions gathered in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to honor the Very Rev. George Dimopoulos on the 50th Anniversary of his Ordination to the Holy Priesthood. At the event, representing St. Tikhon’s Seminary, where Fr. George is Distinguished Professor of the New Testament, Emeritus, were: His Grace, Bishop TIKHON, Very Rev. Michael G. Dahulich, and Dr. Harry Boosalis.  In recognition of his dedication to the Orthodox Faith and Theology and his more than 35 years of outstanding service as a faculty member at the Seminary, Fr. George was presented with the degree “Doctor of Divinity, honoris causa,” by Bishop TIKHON, Rector of St. Tikhon’s Seminary, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the theological school.
