On Sarturday, October 11, Saint John’s Camp Programs hosted its annual Emmaus Retreat, bringing together an inspiring 83 participants for a day of prayer, reflection, and fellowship at Highland Lakes Campground in Martinsville, Indiana.

Fr. John Kowalczyk, Director of Vocations for St. Tikhon’s Seminary and Director of Spiritual Care and Training for Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM), offered a series of deeply moving reflections on brokenness and healing in Christ. Drawing on his extensive pastoral experience, he explored the Church as a place of restoration and renewal, a spiritual hospital where hearts are mended and lives are transformed through the grace of Christ.

During lunch, retreat participants were also blessed to hear from The Very Rev. John Parker, Dean of St. Tikhon’s Seminary, who presented his biannual report (via video) highlighting the many blessings, initiatives, and ongoing work at the Seminary.

The Emmaus Retreat continues to serve as a beloved opportunity for faithful of all ages to gather, grow in fellowship, and be renewed in Christ’s love.
