Fr. John Kowalczyk Attends OCPM Staff Retreat & Strategic Sessions

The Very Rev. John Kowalczyk, Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology and co-director of Spiritual Formation for OCPM, traveled to Denver, Colorado, on Tuesday, April 28, 2025, to attend and participate in an OCPM Staff Retreat.

On Wednesday, April 30, Fr. John participated in a working session and reviewed all OCPM programs. He reported on the Certificate Program in Orthodox Prison Ministry, which is in its second year with new cohorts from all over the country. This program was co-sponsored by St. Tikhon's Seminary, OCPM, and SCI Waymart. The residency part of the program is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 2.

On Thursday, May 1, Fr. John participated in a working session at the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver. The OCPM staff also had an opportunity to meet His Eminence, Metropolitan Constantine of Denver, and the Hierarchical Liaison of OCPM, an agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.
