Other Ways to Give

Non-cash giving is gaining popularity. Saint Tikhon's has partnered with FreeWill to offer all our supporters free estate planning tools. These tools allow our supporters to create a will or revocable living trust online and include a charitable bequest to St. Tikhon's Seminary, name St. Tikhon's as a beneficiary of a non-probate asset, recommend a grant from a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), donate appreciated stock or cryptocurrency, and make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from their IRA. Please contact info@stots.edu with any questions.

Planned Gifts

Including St Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in your will is a lasting gift to our seminarians, enabling them to become good shepherds of the Church. A gift in your will stewards us into the next generation and costs you nothing up-front. To help you get started on your plans and legacy, you can use FreeWill, an online tool that guides you through the process of creating your estate plan. You can use this resource on its own or to document your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney.

Have you already included a gift in your will or trust?  Please fill out this form or click "Gift Intent Form" below to let us know! We would love to thank you for your generosity.

Non-probate Assets

Do you have an IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will? If so, these are called non-probate assets, and you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. Use this online tool to make your plans and designate us as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets.

Donate Stocks

Donating stocks allows you to avoid capital gains tax and often permits a charitable deduction of the full value of the asset. Use this online tool to donate stock so we can track your gift and send you the correct receipt, enabling you to receive the tax savings you deserve.

If you would prefer to make a donation through your broker, access our transfer information from the link above to notify St Tikhon’s of your gift.

Give from an IRA

If you are 70.5 or older, giving from your IRA can help reduce your taxable income. For those over 73 who must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), an IRA gift is a simple way to fulfill it! By using the link below, you can auto-complete your paperwork, enabling us to track your gift and send you the proper tax receipts.

Grants from a Donor-Advised Fund

Donor-advised Funds (DAFs) are investment accounts for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations in the present. The secure DAF link below does the following:

  • Automatically links with your DAF.
  • Allows you to recommend how you would like your gift to be used.
  • Notifies St Tikhon’s of your intentions.

Using the link also improves the efficiency of the process, which we appreciate greatly! It is a superb way to ensure consistent financial support while saving money for immediate needs.

Give Cryptocurrency

We now accept donations of Ethereum, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies! This provides yet another way to fund our work and can yield additional tax benefits.
