Second Annual Youth Talent Show - 11/08/07

On the evening of Thursday, November 8, the children of St. Tikhon’s Seminary were given the opportunity to show what a talented group they are at the 2nd Annual St. Michael’s Day Talent Show and Dinner.  The children of Seminary famlies were asked to consider their talents and encouraged to take the brave step of signing up to showcase them for the St. Tikhon’s Seminary community.  After weeks of planning, practicing, and in many cases, no doubt a good bit of anticipated stage fright, the curtain was up, and the show was on.

The children, their parents, along with clergy, faculty, staff, and students, as well as visiting Board of Trustees members, enjoyed a potluck meal before the festivities began in the gymnasium which had been transformed for the stars of the night. Then over 20 acts, ages 2-14, entertained with puppet shows, stand-up comedy, piano, voice and dance performances and much more!

It was a memorable evening for all, and wove another bright thread into the fabric of community life.  Things like this make community life here so precious--and it takes the spirit of volunteerism to make them happen!
