Rev. Demetrios Harper serves as Associate Professor of Dogmatic and Systematic Theology at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. He previously served as Associate Professor of Church History and Moral Theology at Holy Trinity Seminary, Jordanville, NY (2019-22). Additionally, Fr. Demetrios was Visiting Professor of Dogmatic Theology at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, 2023-24, and Visiting Professor of Dogmatic Theology at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, 2021-22. He was the 2018-19 Byzantine Studies Post-doctoral Fellow at the Medieval Institute, University of Notre Dame. He has a D.Phil. in Systematic Theology and Philosophy of Religion, University of Winchester (2015), an M.A. in Systematic Theology, Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki (2011), and a B.A. in philosophy and English literature from East Tennessee State University; Honors College (2004). His research focuses on topics in philosophical and systematic theology, patristics, and ethics.
