Is the cost of meals included in tuition?

Are fasting meals available?

Yes. In keeping with the liturgical life of the Orthodox Church, fasting foods are available on appointed fast days and throughout the major fasting seasons.

What meals are served each day?

A self-serve breakfast and snack area with light refreshments is available throughout the day. Lunch is served daily in the Seminary refectory at 12:30 p.m. Prepared dinner meals are also available for single residential seminarians.

Can visitors or prospective students eat in the refectory?

Prospective students and other visitors should contact the Seminary in advance to inquire about dining arrangements during their visit.

Meals in the Refectory

The Seminary provides convenient on-campus dining options to support the daily rhythm of campus life. A self-serve breakfast area offers light morning fare, fruit, cereal, coffee, and snacks, while lunch is served daily in the Seminary refectory for enrolled students, faculty, and staff. Dinner is provided for single residential seminarians, who collect prepared meals to enjoy in the dormitory. In keeping with the liturgical life of the Orthodox Church, fasting foods are available during appointed fast days and fasting seasons.

Lunch in the refectory is available through a meal plan for enrolled students. Meal plans are offered on an individual basis. For single residential seminarians, the cost of meals is included as part of their room and board. Married students may participate in the refectory meal plan for an additional fee.
