Mission Choir visits Paramus, NJ

On Sunday, 20 March, 2006, the Mission Choir visited Christ the Saviour Church in Paramus, NJ. The pastor of the parish is the Archpriest David Vernak, father of seminarian Stephen Vernak. The choir sang the responses for the Divine Liturgy on this, the 2nd Sunday of Great Lent, commemorating St. Gregory Palamas.

On Sunday, March 13th, Metropolitan HERMAN served the first Lenten Vespers of the Great Fast, as the St. Tikhon’s Monastery and Seminary community entered into the holy season with the traditional rite or forgiveness.

Each year, during the first week of Great Lent, the seminary cancels classes so that the students can attend the full cycle of services offered in the monastery church.

On Sunday, March 20th, the St. Tikhon's Mission Choir visited Holy Ascension Church in Frackville, PA. Each year the mission choir travels during Great Lent, singing at numerous parishes in the Tri-state area.
