Watch Now! What Can Those Who Are Incarcerated Teach Us About Forgiveness?

In the video below, Archpriest John Parker, Dean of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, joins Mitered Archpriest John Kowalczyk, Director of Vocations and Spiritual Formation, and Luke Gilstrap, Annual Giving Manager for Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM), for a discussion about the new book by OCPM and St. Tikhon's, Suffer with You: Lessons on Forgiveness from Prison.
Suffer with You is a collection of three essays from people on various sides of the U.S. prison system, all approaching the theme of forgiveness. One man learns how to forgive his mother’s murderer, another commits a hate crime and now leads a prayer group for racial reconciliation, and a former pastor wrestles with the long-term effects of his crime. One final expository essay leads the reader through the “Liturgy of Forgiveness”, a systematic prayer rule first conceived by +Schemanun Siluana Vlad, that we may all draw closer to God’s radical forgiveness and share that forgiveness with others.
