Seminarian Fr. Paisios Daniels

Fr. Paisios Daniels has been married to his lovely wife, Matushka Ludmilla, for 18 years this May. They have four children: Jacob (16), Ann (15), Matthew (13), and Ruth (10). He was ordained to the diaconate in February 2022 by His Eminence Archbishop Daniel when he was still the Auxiliary in the Diocese of the West. They came to St. Tikhon’s in the summer of 2024, and he was recently ordained to the Holy Priesthood by His Grace Bishop Vasily of San Francisco, at St. Tikhon’s Monastery Church on the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord in the Temple, this past February 2. Their home parish was Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church in Ashland, OR, where they were received, catechized and formed, ordained, and sent to seminary by their exceptional priest and the loving parishioners.

Fr. Paisios describes seminary as an absolutely wonderful experience for his family. They have been blessed in so many ways. One of the biggest lessons they have learned, he says, is how God works through and is made wonderful in His saints. Throughout their time at St. Tikhon's, they have experienced God's providence through many different people, in many different ways, and at many different times.

Their family will be travelling to Colorado Springs this summer for his internship. They’ll return to St. Tikhon’s in August to complete his final year of seminary, and then, God-willing, they’ll be placed somewhere in the Diocese of the West.
