During the weekend of 17-19 February, 2006, the Orthodox Inter-Seminary
Movement (OISM) held its annual spring meeting at St. Tikhon's. The
keynote speaker for the event was Bishop Basil (Essey) of Wichita and
Mid-America (Antiochian Archdiocese).
In addition to the keynote address on Friday night, the group also
attended the ordination of two St. Tikhon's seminarians by Bishop Basil
on Saturday morning, held its annual business meeting on Saturday
afternoon, and met for a meal at a local resaurant on Saturday evening.
The largest attended event in OISM history, representatives gathered from
all the major Orthodox seminaries in North America, including: St.
Tikhon's; St. Vladimir's Seminary, Crestwood, NY; Holy Cross Greek
Orthodox School of Theology and Hellenic College, Brookline, MA; Holy
Trinity Seminary, Jordanville, NY; St. Herman Seminary, Kodiak, AK.
